You can now run a report in Office Therapy that will show your top twenty-five primary diagnoses.
The report displays ICD-9 to ICD-10 mapping. ICD-10 codes use three to seven alpha and numeric digits and full code titles.
Running the report will allow you to see what codes you will be submitting for reimbursement and make any necessary adjustments. The report also displays legacy codes.

Protecting Your Practice from Data Breaches
We frequently hear or read in the news about data breaches. According to Erin McCann, Managing Editor at Healthcare IT News, “More than 41 million people have had their protected health information compromised in HIPAA privacy and security breaches.”
There is no doubt that a breach could be devastating for a practice. The first step to avoid a breach and keep your patients’ information safe is to conduct a risk analysis. This link to the Security Risk Analysis Video from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT will help get you started.
Based on your findings, you can formulate a security and contingency plan. Be sure to include all mobile devices used to access protected health information (PHI). Your contingency plan should include data backup, disaster recovery, and emergency procedures. This link explains how Contingency Planning can help your practice protect PHI.

Windows 10
An important word of advice…
If you plan to install Windows 10, please be sure to first BACK UP all your data to an external drive. This can’t be stressed enough. Data loss can be very frustrating and costly.
