In an effort to lessen the impact on our environment, DocuTrac is taking steps to become greener.

Some of these steps include emailing correspondence including maintenance renewals, invoices and statements, as well as cutting our energy consumption and promoting recycling.

E-Prescribing with DrFirst - Now Available in the Cloud

We are pleased to announce we have partnered with DrFirst to revamp the electronic prescribing functionality incorporated in QuicDoc EMR Professional and Enterprise Edition Software. The DrFirst integration provides a secure, powerful, and easy to use e-prescribing system and is now available in the Cloud!

The new integration allows providers to electronically prescribe controlled substances, as well as transmit and fax prescription orders and renewals to local pharmacies. Users also have the ability to maintain a complete medication and allergy history check for drug interactions with those medications and allergies, and complete refill authorizations in seconds.

DrFirst's e-prescribing technology allows QuicDoc users to be one step ahead of electronic prescribing mandates. In 2010, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) approved the sending of controlled substance prescriptions electronically. Since then DrFirst has been working closely with the DEA and with Surescripts, the nation's largest e-prescribing network, to assure that physicians can securely sign and send controlled substance prescriptions consistent with DEA requirements.DocuTrac

QuicDoc Enterprise Version 6.2.42 is Now Available

Over the past several weeks, the QuicDoc Enterprise engineering team has been working diligently to complete our latest update of the software, version 6.2.42. This update includes a number of fixes and enhancements including:

  • Improved group signatures capability including a fix for group notes requiring co-signatures, increase to the group note field size, and capability to add addendums to group notes
  • Capability to define a separate location for documents attachments and templates
  • Refined control of the way QuicDoc updates appointments within AccuMed
  • Improved e-Prescribe medication synchronization, including improved sync of existing MasterMed medication entries with e-Prescribing system and addition of maximum dosage fields to synchronization.

In total, over 32 fixes and enhancements have been added to our Enterprise product.  

Since this upgrade will require changes to your existing database, this will be an assisted upgrade. Customers with current software maintenance and support agreements, and who are ready to upgrade should contract our Enterprise support department at 888-206-1270 to schedule a convenient time for one of our support technicians to assist you in making this upgrade easy.

QuicTip: Document Templates and Signature Pads
in QuicDoc Enterprise

You can create Document Templates in QuicDoc Enterprise with data fields that link to the database, as well as signature fields for use with the Topaz Tablets. To do this requires the Administrative logon.

Document Templates allow you to create, for example, consent forms with merged fields that use the Topaz Signature pad. Clients can sign it and then it can be saved as part of the chart.

To create templates, select Create Document Template from the QuicDoc Write menu. This opens the QuicDoc word processor. Press F1 for instructions on how to set up templates with merge fields. To add a signature block, select Signature Block from the word processor Insert menu.

QuicDoc Professional 9.5.1 Update

Update 9.5.1 has been released for QuicDoc Pro.

The most important feature of 9.5.1 is its inclusion of DrFirst for e-Prescribing and new forms for Evaluation and Management (E//M) documentation.

This update is available as an automatic download.
