These threats are expected to continue, and this year, cybercriminals will likely get even more creative in their efforts. Mobile devices are equally vulnerable to theft and misplacement because of their smaller size and portability. Encrypting PHI on all devices, including portable devices, adds a layer of protection against data breaches. Also, it is important to update all systems to the latest versions which include security updates.
